I’m a mom, fiancée, and traveler who believes life isn’t meant to feel like an endless loop of to-do lists and “I’ll get to it later.” For a long time, my days moved fast — taking care of everyone, thinking about what’s next, and waiting for the right moment to slow down. Time passed, and I realized I was busy, but not always present.
Have you ever felt like you wanted more, but felt guilty for it? Grateful for the life you have, while quietly wondering if there’s something more meant for you? Travel became one of the ways I created space to pause, reflect, and see life differently — not to escape, but to pay attention.
This space is where I share those reflections — on mindset, motherhood, and learning how to move through life with intention. No quick fixes, just honest perspective and reminders that it’s possible to want more without abandoning the life you’re building.
Our adventure started at Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, where massive floating icebergs drift quietly toward the ocean. We visited a unique ice cave in Vatnajökull.
Inside the Ice Cave — A Surreal, Once-in-a-Lifetime Experience
Walking into the ice cave felt like stepping into another world. These caves melt and reform each year, which makes the moment feel even more special — no two seasons ever look the same. We explored the different chambers, took pictures, and just stood there taking in the beauty. Seeing the layers of ancient ice up close felt unreal, like looking at thousands of years of history stacked in front of you.
It was one of the most unforgettable moments of the entire trip — the kind of experience that doesn’t feel real until you’re really there.
Iceland’s waterfalls are some of the most dramatic in the world, shaped by glaciers, volcanic rock, and relentless North Atlantic weather. Each one has its own personality — from the powerful Skógafoss and the elegant drop of Seljalandsfoss to the hidden cascades tucked between cliffs and mossy valleys. Because of Iceland’s unique geology, waterfalls can form, shift, or change flow throughout the year, making every visit feel different. Many of the country’s most iconic falls sit just off the Ring Road, making them surprisingly easy to explore even on short trips. Together, they create a landscape that feels otherworldly — a place where water, light, and nature constantly reshape the scenery.
After having seeing this with my own eyes, all I can tell you is that if you are someone who enjoys nature, exploring and breathtaking views, you will want Iceland in your list.
